Hybrid arrangements absorbed part of the change in wording. A requirement to attend an office several days a week is not the same as a location-independent role, even when the posting still uses the word remote.
Work-arrangement and commute fields on the application form are the most reliable source for the actual requirement. Those fields should be read before the application is submitted.
