Automatically generate a résumé for this job
Turn your saved résumé into a PDF tailored to the posting in front of you. Tap That Job uses Google APIs to write it — we do not sell your information.
1 Why a tailored résumé helps
The same résumé does not read the same on every posting. A computer-vision role should lead with the vision work you already did. A generalist data role should not bury those facts under an unrelated internship.
People search for an AI résumé generator or a way to auto-generate a resume for a job because rewriting bullets by hand for every board is slow. The facts should stay yours. The emphasis can change.
2 What auto-generate does
Tap That Job already stores a structured résumé from the file you uploaded. On a job page, Automatically generate resume for this job writes a new PDF that reorders and rewrites those facts for the posting in front of you.
It can refresh the summary and the bullets. It can put the most relevant skills first. It cannot invent an employer, a degree, a GPA, or a skill you did not already have on file. Your original upload stays on the account. The new file is extra. The next Fill All Fields attaches the latest PDF.
You still open the PDF and check it. You still submit the application yourself.
3 How the PDF gets written
Install the extension on desktop Chrome or Firefox, save a résumé or profile, and open an application. The side panel (or the popup) has the generate button. We read the page title, headings, and visible posting text, then send that together with your structured résumé to write the file.
Each generate is a Smart-Apply, same as a fill. Free accounts include a set number. One-time packs unlock unlimited use for 1, 3, or 6 months and do not auto-renew. See pricing.
Need a letter for the same posting? Use auto-generate a cover letter.
4 Google APIs, not a sale
This Google API step happens only when you click the résumé or cover letter generate buttons. We do not sell your résumé, profile, or job-application data to anyone.
For those two actions, Tap That Job calls Google’s generative APIs so the model can draft the tailored PDF. That is a processing request to produce the file you asked for — not a sale to Google, recruiters, or advertisers. The request is encrypted in transit (TLS). Details are in the privacy policy.
5 Generate one for a posting
Create an account, install the extension, and drop in a résumé. Open a job form and generate a version aimed at that role. Review it, then fill the form.
