1 Why job applications feel slow

Most career sites ask for the same things: name, email, phone, address, work history, education, and a résumé. You type it on Greenhouse. Then again on Lever. Then again on a custom “careers” form that rejects your phone number format.

That repetition is why people search for ways to auto-fill job applications, speed up applying, and stop copying the same answers into every posting. The bottleneck is not finding jobs. It is filling the form again.

2 What auto-fill actually does

Tap That Job is a desktop browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. You save a job-application profile once — from a résumé upload plus the details forms always ask for. When you open an application, Fill All Fields types those answers into the form in front of you.

It reads labels and field types on the page, matches them to your profile, and respects the site’s own validation. If a board wants dates as MM/YYYY or a phone in a specific shape, it tries to type it that way instead of dumping text that the form rejects.

You still see every field. You still click submit. Auto-fill here means faster data entry, not a bot that applies while you sleep.

3 How Tap That Job works

Install on a computer. Add the extension from the install page. It is built for desktop Chrome and Firefox. Phones cannot run it.

Create an account and drop in a résumé. The parser pulls name, work history, school, and skills into your hosted profile. You edit anything it misses — work authorization, address, links, the answers every board repeats.

Open a job form and fill it. On the application page, Fill All Fields writes your profile into the matching inputs. Street lookup can complete an address. Month pickers cover start and end dates. When a question needs a written answer, you can generate a draft from your profile and the posting, then edit it before it stays in the box.

Each fill is a Smart-Apply. Free accounts include a set number. One-time packs unlock unlimited fills for 1, 3, or 6 months and do not auto-renew. Details are on pricing.

4 What it will not do

Tap That Job does not submit the application for you. It does not scrape every job board in the background. It does not sell your résumé. It does not replace reading the posting or checking that the filled fields are right.

If you want a service that “applies to 200 jobs while you sleep,” this is not that. If you want to stop retyping the same profile so you can apply to more roles in the time you already have, that is the product.
