1 Why a letter still matters
A lot of boards still ask for a cover letter, or give you a box that reads better when it is not a pasted résumé. Writing a new one for every posting is the part people skip — or they send the same three paragraphs to every company.
That is why people look for an AI cover letter generator or a way to automatically generate a cover letter from a profile they already trust. The letter should use your real jobs. It should mention the role in front of you. It should stay short enough to attach.
2 What auto-generate does
On a job page, Automatically generate cover letter writes a one-page PDF from your saved résumé and profile plus the posting title and visible description.
The draft is first person, a few short paragraphs, and limited to facts you already provided. It will not invent a company you did not work at, a degree you do not have, or a metric that was not on your profile. The file is stored on your account. Fill All Fields can attach the latest cover letter where the form asks for one.
You still read it. You still click submit.
3 How the letter gets written
Use desktop Chrome or Firefox, sign in, and keep a résumé or work history on your profile. Open the application, then use the button in the side panel or popup. We send the page title, headings, and visible posting text with your structured facts, and we render a PDF you can attach.

4 Google APIs, not a sale
This Google API step happens only when you click the résumé or cover letter generate buttons. We do not sell your cover letter, résumé, or profile to anyone.
For those two actions, Tap That Job calls Google’s generative APIs so the model can draft the letter. That is a processing request to produce the file you asked for — not a sale to Google, recruiters, or advertisers. The request is encrypted in transit (TLS). Details are in the privacy policy.
